Meet Our Founder

Divine Care Foundation was founded by Divine Tembon, a Physician Assistant and public health advocate with over a decade of experience serving women, children, and vulnerable communities in Cameroon.

Throughout his career, Divine witnessed the devastating consequences of limited access to quality healthcare, delayed antenatal care, preventable childhood illnesses, and inadequate health education. These experiences inspired him to dedicate his life to creating practical, sustainable solutions that would improve the lives of families and strengthen communities. His vision began to take shape when he was selected as a recipient of the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Entrepreneurship Programme, whose seed funding enabled him to establish Divine Care Health Center. What started as an entrepreneurial dream has grown into a trusted community healthcare facility providing affordable, compassionate, and quality healthcare services, particularly for mothers and children.Recognizing that lasting change requires more than clinical care, Divine founded Divine Care Foundation to expand the impact beyond the walls of the health center. The Foundation focuses on preventive healthcare, maternal and child health, community outreach, health education, women’s empowerment, and partnerships that address the root causes of poor health outcomes.Today, his vision is to build a future where every mother experiences a safe pregnancy, every child has the opportunity to thrive, and every community has access to the knowledge and healthcare needed to live healthy, dignified lives. Through innovation, compassion, and collaboration, Divine Care Foundation is committed to creating lasting impact across Cameroon and, ultimately, throughout Africa.

“Healthcare is not simply about treating illness—it is about restoring hope, empowering communities, and ensuring that every mother and every child has the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life.”
— Divine Tembon, Founder
